Ananias Carll
Early town supervisor
Ananias Carll inherited the Sagtikos property from Timothy Carll's line and appears in early Islip town records. He registered an earmark for cattle in 1726, was elected supervisor in 1731, served as an overseer for the poor in the late 1730s, and helped carry out a 1733 Assembly act to lay out a public highway through the Precinct of Islip.
