Mary Gardiner Thompson was Isaac Thompson's wife and part of the Gardiner connection at Sagtikos Manor. Town Historian material describes her at the beginning of the occupation as pregnant and "lying in," while also caring for a young child — which helps explain why Isaac may have been unable or unwilling to leave Sagtikos: his family's health and safety tied him to the house.
